Savannah with a star on top.

Hi everyone. I hope this finds you all well, happy and, those who celebrate it, ready for Christmas!

This is going to be my last post before Christmas as I'm having so many problems with my tablet even with just trying to switch it on now so it'll have to go to computer 'hospital'. I also won't be able to comment on your posts as I struggle to write anything using my phone.

Today's card is made using a Stamping Bella Uptown Girl stamp, Savannah with a star on top. I don't usually buy stamps where the face only has eyes but these images are so girly I just can't resist them so have snuck a few into my craft cupboard (don't tell the hubby though! :D) This card is for my best friend so no expensive embellies are on this although I might ask for the wooden shapes back before it goes in the bin, lol! So here's my card, I hope you like it.

A close up shot showing the Berry Sparkle holly berries, wink of Stella on the stars, glossy accents on her glass and baubles and the gold Nuvo Crystal chains.

CHNC challenge 259- anything goes as long as it's Christmas

Whew! Doesn't it take ages picking challenges to enter and putting them on your post?

Luckily my lads, well men really, are both at home for Christmas. I'm not sure what time we'll see Chris on Christmas day though as he is working twelve hour days up to and including Christmas Eve from today so will be really tired but that's the life of a junior doctor! It could be worse though as his poor girlfriend is working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day then has one day off and then back to work again. I feel awful that she won't be with her family at Christmas. I just hope her days go quickly for her.

Well, that's me for this year unless the computer guys can't fit me in. I wish you all the Happiest of Christmases and the Most Wonderful of New Year's!

Sending you all lots of hugs,

Debra x

Finally a Christmas card!

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and happy. I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while. I had planned to post more often as I'd be able to make more cards in my new craft room but my MS obviously didn't know this and has been misbehaving.

Before I tell you about my card I just want to mention my blog friend Annie. Her blog has had a really big problem so much so that she's had to start it all over again! So if you were a follower of aussie aNNie and her blog The Journey Is The Start click HERE to get to her blog and become a follower again.

I've made a few cards of this design. The card uses Wild Rose Studio's Santa and Rudolph stamp and I got colouring inspiration, especially for Rudolph, from Kate's blog Downrightcrafty. I loved how she coloured his fur so I've tried, that's Tried, to colour him similarly. I hope you like it.

Grape Vine Dress

Hi everyone. I'm writing this post whilst hubby is watching rugby on the TV and as much as I'd like to share an interest with him rugby is not going to be anything I will ever like, except for the tall, beefy men, lol!

Today's card is the birthday card I made for my best friend's birthday. I've learnt from past birthdays not to use my best lace, charms and flowers on her cards. I think I already told you that after a week on her mantelpiece her cards go straight in the bin however long you've spent making it. So this card is made with just card, a few paper flowers (coloured to match the image), pearls and a lot of stamping. My friend liked it, I hope you like it too.

and a close up....

Card Ingredients

7" x 7" Card Blank- Anna Marie Designs.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-
Little Miss Muffet Challenge- Bingo Dies, Sentiment and Glitter.

Rugby season will have me catching up on my recorded programs, crafting and blogging so I suppose it has it's plus side. My next post will have my Candy Giveaway with the prize from Fairy My World who are having a sale at the moment as they are moving to new premises so it's worth having a look as a lot of their stamps are half price.

See you again soon and sending you all a big hug,

And the Winner is.....

Hi everyone. Just before I announce the winner of my blog candy I have some lovely news for you. As you may have noticed, some of the goodies in the candy is from a company called Fairy My World. They've got fabulous stamps, co-ordinating ribbons and buttons and lots more. They saw my blog and that couldn't help noticing their products in the giveaway. Anyway they have sent me a little pack of goodies with a 'Christmassy' theme to be given away in a future giveaway. How generous and wonderful is that!!!  So keep an eye on my blog for another giveaway in September.

Ok, the wait is over........ drum roll....... and the winner is......

"Elchi"

Congratulations Elchi!!!

Email me your address using the contact form in the sidebar and I'll pop your goodies in the post for you.

The draw was made using the age old 'name in the hat method' as I didn't realise that you had to pay for Mr Linky after one use, lol.

I've just got back from a few days break and I trying to catch up on your blogs and doing a little crafting. Hope you all have a great week.

Sending you all a big hug,

I'll be really happy if you'll all visit me as often as you can and comment on my posts, nice comments I hope though!

Thank you so much for your really lovely comments about my card and my craft room. I'm so pleased that your think my room is as great as I do. I'm spending so much time in there with Stuart as he sits at the other end of the room using his laptop. He used to be upstairs at his desk where I couldn't get to. So we're together most of the day and haven't killed one another yet!

Today's card is a bit different for me as I don't make CAS cards. I just can't stop myself from adding ribbon and glitter, lol, but I bought this set of stamps which cry out for paper piecing and this is the card that kind of made itself. I hope you like it.

My new craft room, YAY!

Hi everyone and a very warm welcome to my new followers Anne, Tracey, Mrs Kreatywna (Creative), Valerija and Patricia. I hope you'll come visit me as often as you can and enjoy my posts.

My card today is the one I made for Carole to congratulate her and hubby, Michael, on becoming grandparents. I hope you like it.

a close up shot of image...

Card Ingredients
7"x 7" card- Anna Marie Designs.
Stamps- LOTV Bath time and Boys shoes. Phil Martin Elegant Alphabet & Numbers.
Papers- Maja Design Vintage Baby.
White card- from stash embossed using Tattered Lace embossing folder Ditsy Dots.
Ink pads- Memento Tuxedo Black and London Fog. Distress ink pad Faded Jeans.
Dies- Tonic Delicate Lattice Ovals. La-La Land Heart banner. Memory Box Auto parts. First Edition Craft Button dies.
Ribbon- Crafty Ribbons white seam binding. Live and Love crafts seam binding for bow.
Bakers Twine- Creative Expressions pastel colours.
Other Stuff- DecoArt Glamour Dust in crystal. Charm from stash.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-
Crafty Calender Challenge- Bingo! Ribbon/Lace, Blue, Buttons.

Finally, I have some photos of my craft room to show you. The extension we've had built was supposed to be 2/3rds a sitting area and 1/3rd craft room but it's now 2/3rds craft room, lol!  I've not put everything away yet as I'm still deciding where my stash should go.  WARNING PHOTO HEAVY!

This is a dresser I had made to my design which I'm so happy with. It's really tall and wide so I couldn't get it all in the photo.

My jars with my ribbons and bits and bobs.

We decided a table with drawer units on lockable castors was more practical as I can give myself more workspace by pulling the units out.

This was my mum's dresser base which I helped her to choose and had always loved. The fretwork pulls down to reveal a shelf where I keep my 12"x 12" cards pad and cutting plates for the eBosser on top. My dies are in the right hand box and paper pads in the left hand one.

The last pictures show what's in the dressers. I put self adhesive Velcro on the ribbon hangers and attached inside the door and the other photo shows the fabric baskets holding my flowers etc.

I hope I've not bored you with all my photos. It's so much nicer working on a big table with everything in the same room and my living room looks a lot tidier without my crafty stuff here, there and everywhere too, lol.

Don't forget there's still time to enter my candy giveaway if you haven't done so already. That's all from me today. Take care and enjoy your crafting.

Blooming Shoe

Hi there. I hope this post finds you all well and happy.

I've been enjoying using the Blooming stamps from Anne Marie Designs and they sell well at the farm shop which I'm grateful for. I spent all my earnings at Doncaster Racecourse's Summer Crafting show so I need to make a lot more cards now to save up for the next craft show!

I've already put some stamps I wanted to use somewhere so safe I can't find them, lol. I hope I'll have pictures to show you on my next post. Don't forget to enter my Candy Giveaway.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for the lovely comments, I really love reading them and appreciate you taking the time to leave them for me.

My craft room is nearly finished. I'm just waiting for some more furniture which will hopefully be delivered next week, fingers crossed.

Today's card is using another pre- coloured topper from Hobby House. I'm doing well selling my cards at the farm shop much to my surprise and I'm saving the money for the next craft show I go to so I can go even more mad buying lots of crafty goodies!!

Right I'd better show your my card. I enjoyed making this card so I hope you like it.

Blooming Bicycle

A big hello to all my blog friends. I hope you are all well and happy. As some of you may know there was a Tour de Yorkshire cycle race at the beginning of May. It came through my town, which was decorated with blue and yellow bicycles and banners and looked really great. I can't help feeling though that a lot of small children are having to wait for their parents to take their bikes down off the walls so they can play on them again, ha, ha! So inspired by all these bicycles I decided to make a card with a bicycle on it. Being very girly, it just had to have flowers and glitter on it ,of course, lol! So here it is. I hope you like it.

Close up of the flowers....

I also made one in lilac.

and a close up of the flowers which are made with different stamps than the pink card.

There's been a bit of a hold up with the finishing of the extension which I'll bore you with another time, lol.

Lots of hugs to those of you that need one or just want one,

Onto today's card. A local tearoom/ farm shop has offered to sell my cards whenever I can make them which is just wonderful of them as it doesn't put me under any pressure if I'm not feeling up to card-making. Sending you all a big hug,

A new craft room!

Hi everyone. I'm so excited as I'm getting a craft room, YAY!!! I've been using a lap tray and a small folding TV table to do my crafting on for so long but not for much longer. We've been having an extension built on the back of our house since the end of January and it's getting to the end now. A third of the space is just for me so I'm having fun in between the hospital appointments shopping for furniture.

I have made a few cards but just haven't had time to post them anyway here's one of them using Graphic 45 Parfumerie stamp and die cut set.

My sons, Chris and Kieran, and Lexi, Chris' girlfriend, are here for some of the bank holiday so it'll be a bit of a squeeze in the living room but it'll be so great to have them all here.

I hope you all in the UK have a great bank holiday and the rest of you wonderful blog friends all over the world have a great weekend too.

My Candy Winner is.......!

Hi there everyone. I hope you're all having crafty fun.

Well I think I've left it long enough for my faithful blog friends to enter my candy giveaway. I'm a bit busy with hospital appointments and with builders ( I'll tell you about that next time) so haven't time to post a card and I've gone old school with putting your names in a hat (well, a paper bag :D) for the draw. The name pulled out by the independent witness, my hubby, was...........

 ..............Carole Pollard!!!...........

Congratulations Carole, email me and I'll send you your candy which I hope will enjoy using.
I wish you could all win as you've all been the best blog buddies ever.

That's all for now so take care and as usual I'm sending you all a big hug.

Well I hope I haven't spoken too soon about this being a better year! More later on that.

Today's card is a box card I made for my mum-in-law's birthday, the 26th January. I think I've already told you that it's my birthday too. Anyway I hope you like her card.

To continue from the start of the post-

I got out of bed at six o'clock in the morning one Sunday, a couple of weeks ago, then the next I knew Stuart was shaking me and I was on the floor with pain in my head and neck. Stuart said I'd just fallen backward for no reason with my eyes up in my head. As I couldn't get up and wasn't with it, Stuart rang for an ambulance. Packaged on a back board, neck collar and head blocks I was driven to hospital. I was x-rayed and CT scanned and told I had a skull fracture! Fifteen minutes later I was told it wasn't fractured it was a join line they'd seen, phew! So I was told to get up more slowly next time and we went home. I was discovering new bruised areas daily and I'm still dizzy but it definitely could have been worse, yes my hubby said, I could have landed on him, lol!! So now I'm having tests to find out what happened.
I'll have a candy giveaway, in my next post, just for current followers as a belated birthday thank you for hanging in there with me.

sending you all a big hug,

                                              Debra x

Welcome 2015

Happy Belated New Year! I'm hoping 2015 is a wonderfully happy and healthy year for all of us. I personally am pleased to see the back of 2014.

I was going to show you the Card-io Christmas cards I made but I was running out of time to post them so off they went. I then realised I'd forgotten to photograph them! So here's the Christmas card I made for my in-laws.

and a close up of the embossed wreath.

Card Ingredients

Card stock- Centura Pearl white with a hint of gold and jade pearl card from stash.
Die cuts- Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles, Cheery Lynn Happy Birthday and Joy Crafts card stand two.
Stamps- Stamps by Chloe Starry Trails and Starry Wreath.
Ink pad- Versamark
Embossing powder- Stamps by Chloe Silver Bells Wow embossing powder.
Glitter- Stamps by Chloe Blue Lagoon ( possibly. There's no label on the jar and I didn't write the names down when I bought the glitter set from Create and Craft, doh!)
Other stuff- white organza ribbon from stash for bow, small gems and petal shaped diamante on bow from MeiFlower.

The Starry Trails was stamped around the big circle embossing it with the Silver Bells after each time I stamped it so I could see where I'd stamped. The jade circle was going to be another Decorative Circle die cut which it was in a way. I forgot to use some wax paper with it and it ripped on removal from the die so I cut the decorative edge off leaving the plain circle.

A big thank you goes out to my lovely blog friends who have been checking on me, your messages have meant a lot. Thanks Marianne for showing me that I'd posted this halfway through writing it (I was trying to write it on my phone on a bumpy journey and pressed publish instead of save!) I will get back into commenting on your blogs.

 Big hugs coming your way,
